This is a collection of portraits from the first portrait shoot I did for class. I used a Carr light with a diffusion panel off to camera right while I moved the background back twice from the subject to get a stopped down (darker) background each time. In post, I did my standard tweaking and adjusting but this time I adjusted the saturation of the individual colors to my liking. I have noticed that I like darker images with deep blacks and strong highlights, while trying to stay away from getting over contrasty. This particular set has a pink/orange tint to it which I like and at the same time dislike. I am working on my darkroom skills and on training my eye to see colors differently and to find my style. This is my first experience shooting portraits in a studio setting but I learned a lot and cannot wait to experiment more.
