This picture is inspiring to me because I think that it pushes undertones rather than being vibrant or overly saturated. I like the fact that the photo looks dull but at the same time there is a lot of contrast. I think that this is an interesting photo in the sense that there are tons of sheep in this valley and the road is leading me into the distance. It feels old, like from the country in the 1800’s but who knows. I found this photo off Tumblr and I am not entirely sure who the artist is who captured this. I like the film feel to this photo and I would like to get some presets made on Lightroom so that I can reproduce this in my own artistic way.
I like this picture a lot because it stood out to me immediately and the colors in the image are very true. For one, the smoke coming out of his nose is very fun to look at. I am a smoker myself and I find smoke a beautiful element and a meditative quality even. His beard is also impressive with the length and color suggesting that the man has some years under his skin. The painting on his face makes me wonder if he is a holy man or shaman from somewhere in eastern Europe of India. I found this image on Tumblr as well and I do not have the name of the photographer that captured this moment. I think it is a great portrait and an interesting subject to capture. Maybe someday I will get into photojournalism.
